The ledger
Hayward, Gobert, Mitchell (2011–2022)2021–22 Utah Jazz
The 48th season for the franchise and the 43rd in Salt Lake City was a regression from the league-best 2020–21 campaign, and it turned out to be the end of an era. Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert were both named All-Stars again, but the team did not repeat its regular-season dominance, finishing 49–33 and fifth in the West. An overtime win over Memphis on April 5 clinched a sixth consecutive playoff appearance.
30 in, 21 out. Every move the record shows for this season, with the reason where a source gives one. Where no reason is documented, the entry says nothing rather than guess.

- Background: October 15, 2022: cut in the final round of roster moves, to get the roster down to 15. The Jazz still owe the guaranteed $1,563,518. source

- THE REASON for 2021 — NOT FIRMLY CONFIRMED. KSL writes it hedged: "It likely came down to dollars and cents... If the Jazz had re-signed Niang to an identical contract, it would have cost around $14 million in luxury tax." Deseret also hedges: "it was assumed that the Jazz would let him walk to take a pay bump". Utah signs Rudy Gay in his place. BECAUSE OF THE HEDGING this must not be written on the site as an established reason. source
