Never played a minute
345 MEN345 men who belonged to the Jazz and never played
Drafted and never signed. Signed and waived before the opener. Traded in during July and gone by October. Every one of them was on the club's books, and not one of them got into a game.
They are not in the count of 370 — that number is for the men who took the floor. This list exists because it exists nowhere else. It was pulled out of 1353 dated transactions, one name at a time, and every man here has a page with the record of how he came and how he went.
Some of them played long careers elsewhere. A few never played anywhere. The training-camp invitations of the seventies and eighties are barely documented at all, so the real number is larger than this one.
A handful of them do have a card with JAZZ printed on it — those are gathered separately under So close. The season-by-season record is in the ledger.
