The ledger
The current era (2022–2027)2022–23 Utah Jazz
The 49th season for the franchise was a demolition and a rebuild in the same twelve months. Quin Snyder resigned on June 5, 2022, after eight seasons. On June 29 the Jazz hired Boston Celtics assistant Will Hardy as his replacement. Then the roster was taken apart: Rudy Gobert went to Minnesota on July 1 and Donovan Mitchell to Cleveland on September 1, the first season since 2017–18 without either of them. The club also unveiled a new logo and a black, white and yellow "remix" colour scheme that fans and media largely disliked, and which stayed in place only until 2024–25.
26 in, 10 out. Every move the record shows for this season, with the reason where a source gives one. Where no reason is documented, the entry says nothing rather than guess.

10 LEFT- THE REASON for the parting: in June 2022 the Jazz had the option to give him a qualifying offer and make him a restricted free agent, but did NOT do so — so he reached the market as a fully unrestricted free agent. source
- THE REASON for the signing is stated clearly by Deseret News: 'After they traded Derrick Favors, the Jazz still wanted to have a more veteran center to back up Rudy Gobert' — Favors had been shipped out (to Oklahoma City) and the club was left without an experienced backup for Gobert. source
- THE END — THE EXACT MECHANICS: on 30 October 2022 Utah DECLINED his fourth-year option for 2023/24, worth 3,923,484 dollars. At that point he had played 33 games for the club averaging 3.0 points and 2.6 rebounds in 7.9 minutes. The decline made him an unrestricted free agent from July 2023. source
