For many of them, this page is the only one on the internet. Here is Kelly Olynyk: what he did on the floor, a few things most people never knew, and every card that carries his name. A Toronto-born seven-footer who kept playing point guard through an eleventh-grade growth spurt, Olynyk grew up in Kamloops, British Columbia and chose Gonzaga partly to stay near home. A redshirt year transformed him into a consensus first-team All-American in 2013, and Boston grabbed him 13th overall in a draft-night swap. He reached the Finals with Miami in 2020 and spent 2022 to 2024 with the Jazz before a midseason trade to Toronto.
Olynyk earned his accounting degree before leaving Gonzaga and serves as captain of Canada's national team. In 2026 he reached another NBA Finals with San Antonio.
HOW HE CAME & WENTDetroit traded him and Saben Lee to Utah for Bojan Bogdanovic on September 26, 2022, in Danny Ainge's teardown. The Jazz dealt him to Toronto at the February 2024 deadline.
