Dunn was a force at Providence, sweeping Big East Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in 2015 after two shoulder surgeries nearly derailed his college career. Minnesota drafted him fifth overall in 2016, and a year later he was a centerpiece of the Jimmy Butler blockbuster that sent him to Chicago. His Utah stop came in 2021-22.
He stayed in school long enough to earn his Providence degree, a goal he announced before his final season. Defense has kept him employed ever since — Dunn now patrols the perimeter for the Los Angeles Clippers.
HOW HE CAME & WENTUtah pulled him out of the G League on a 10-day contract on February 22, 2023 and gave him a multi-year deal that March. As a free agent in July 2024 he chose the Clippers, and the Jazz used their cap space to absorb Russell Westbrook in the sign-and-trade.
