Utah raised Frank Jackson — a state championship at Lone Peak High, a Utah Mr. Basketball award, and co-MVP honors at the McDonald's All-American Game before he ever left for Duke. After one college season he went 31st in the 2017 draft, though two foot surgeries wiped out his entire rookie year with New Orleans.
He fought back to a 25-point game for the Pelicans by 2019 and later spent two seasons with Detroit. The Utah native has since taken his game to the Chinese Basketball Association with the Ningbo Rockets — a long way from the 5A title runs of his high school days.
HOW HE CAME & WENTThe Jazz signed the local product to a 10-day contract on February 22, 2023. He appeared in one game before returning to the Stars.
