One collector is trying to find a single signature from every man who ever played for the Jazz — all 370 of them, from the 1974 New Orleans team to today. For many of them, this page is the only one on the internet. Here is Zylan Cheatham: what he did on the floor, a few things most people never knew, and every card that carries his name. If you own something he signed — or you know who might — there is a note at the foot of this page.
To stay eligible, Cheatham once retook his entire junior year of high school coursework simultaneously with his senior load — the kind of resolve that carried him from South Phoenix through San Diego State to Arizona State, where he led the Pac-12 in rebounding and recorded the second triple-double in school history. Undrafted in 2019, he debuted with New Orleans on a two-way contract.
His one Jazz appearance defines the COVID era: signed to a 10-day hardship contract on January 12, 2022, he played five minutes that night against Cleveland — his only game in Utah colors. He has since played for Bayern Munich, the New Zealand Breakers, Nagoya in Japan, and the Adelaide 36ers.
