Naz Mitrou-Long

Mississauga, Ontario produced this sharpshooter, who came up through Canada's CIA Bounce program alongside future NBA players Tristan Thompson and Cory Joseph before a long career at Iowa State. His Cyclone years mixed heroics — a 30-foot buzzer-beater to force overtime against Oklahoma State — with hardship: labral tears in both hips, two surgeries and a medical redshirt.

The perseverance bought him 20 NBA regular-season games with Utah and Indiana, the Jazz having first brought him aboard in 2017. Holding both Canadian and Greek citizenship, he has since made his living in Europe and now plays for PAOK Thessaloniki in the Greek league and the EuroCup.

HOW HE CAME & WENTUndrafted, he was cut from camp and earned a two-way contract that December. The Jazz waived him on January 13, 2018 in order to sign his old Iowa State teammate Georges Niang, then brought him back twice on 10-day deals.
