John Konchar

Nicknamed Jitty, Konchar drew exactly one Division I scholarship offer despite leaving West Chicago High as its all-time leading scorer. At Purdue Fort Wayne he became a four-time first-team all-league pick and the program's career scoring leader, then went undrafted and spent seven seasons with Memphis. A February 2026 trade brought him to Utah alongside Jaren Jackson Jr.

Fort Wayne's mayor once proclaimed a John Konchar Day in his honor. With the Jazz he produced two April triple-doubles, including an 11-point, 11-rebound, 10-assist night off the bench paired with one from Bez Mbeng, the first bench teammates in NBA history to do it in the same game.
