For many of them, this page is the only one on the internet. Here is Dave Jamerson: what he did on the floor, a few things most people never knew, and every card that carries his name. Before the three-pointer ruled basketball, Dave Jamerson showed what it could do. On December 21, 1989, the Ohio University guard became the first Division I player to hit 14 threes in a game, scoring 60 points against Charleston. He finished third in the nation in scoring at 31.2 a game, won MAC Player of the Year, and went 15th overall to Miami in the 1990 draft. His three NBA seasons ran through Houston, Utah and New Jersey.
A First Team Academic All-American who graduated ranked among the classroom's best as well, Jamerson still holds MAC records for threes in a season and points in a single game more than three decades on.
HOW HE CAME & WENTUtah signed him on November 13, 1993 to cover for the injured David Benoit, then decided it needed a big man instead and waived him on November 26 — a Jazz career of under two weeks.

- After basketball he became a pastor, first at a church in Indianapolis and later leading a congregation in Cedar Park, Texas.
- The Jazz signed him in November 1993 when David Benoit pulled a hamstring and waived him thirteen days later.
- A knee injury cost him the exact season the NCAA introduced the three-point line, and few players ever used that line better.
- His father John was an All-American at Fairmont State, drafted by the Pacers in 1970 but played instead for the Akron Goodyear Wingfoots.
