South Dakota State had never seen anything like him — a 2013 All-American who carried the Jackrabbits to two NCAA tournaments and passed 2,000 career points. Drafted 38th overall and traded twice by the next day, Wolters landed in Milwaukee, where a roster thinned by injuries pressed him into 30 minutes in his NBA debut. He later signed a two-way contract with the Jazz in September 2017, appearing in five games before being waived that December.
The guard from St. Cloud, Minnesota kept the career alive across continents — New Orleans, Turkey's Besiktas, Serbia's Crvena zvezda. In the Turkish league he averaged 11.6 points and 5.4 assists, steady work for a point guard forever fighting the roster math.
HOW HE CAME & WENTHe signed a two-way contract on September 13, 2017 and appeared in five games before the Jazz waived him on December 22 — the end of his NBA account.
