Shot-blocking made his name at Kansas — his 31 rejections in the 2012 NCAA tournament broke Joakim Noah's record, and he was twice Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year before sharing national defensive player honors in 2013. Drafted 39th, he spent two seasons in New Orleans and then two in Utah, where he once paired 11 points with a career-high 12 rebounds as a starter.
The San Diego native has since worked the world's leagues — Tofaş in Turkey, Lavrio in Greece, an Israeli Player of the Month award with Ironi Nes Ziona, Korea's Goyang Orion Orions, Bilbao in Spain, and Pelita Jaya Jakarta in Indonesia, where he was still playing in his mid-thirties.
HOW HE CAME & WENTHe signed with Utah on August 24, 2015 and spent two seasons as the backup centre before signing with Dallas in 2017.
