Lewis graduated from Alabama's Hazel Green High School a year early and, at 17, was the youngest player in Division I when he suited up for the Crimson Tide. By his sophomore year he was first-team All-SEC with Alabama's first triple-double since 1996, and New Orleans drafted him 13th in 2020. A torn ACL in December 2021 stalled his rise, and in February 2024 he landed with the Jazz in the trade that sent Kelly Olynyk to Toronto.
He won U19 World Cup gold with the United States in 2019. Since Utah he has kept grinding through the G League, with Capital City and now the Wisconsin Herd.
HOW HE CAME & WENTHe came to Utah with Otto Porter Jr. and a 2024 first-round pick in the February 2024 trade for Kelly Olynyk and Ochai Agbaji, and was gone by that September, signing with Washington.
