A guard until a growth spurt moved him to the post, Lofton starred at Louisiana Tech, where he was the first freshman to lead the team in rebounding since Paul Millsap. Undrafted in 2022, he won G League Rookie of the Year with Memphis and, in his first NBA start, poured in 42 points and 14 rebounds — the first player ever to open his starting career with a 40-and-10 game. The Jazz picked him up in March 2024.
His signature night came in a Team USA uniform: 15 second-half points against France to seal U19 World Cup gold in 2021. After winning Best International Player honors with the Shanghai Sharks, he signed with Hapoel Jerusalem in 2026.
HOW HE CAME & WENTUtah picked him up on March 11, 2024 for the rest of the season — the best NBA stretch of his career — then waived him that July before his salary became guaranteed.
