Nine NBA teams employed this quick-handed point guard between 1997 and 2009, and Utah was the final stop — he arrived in a July 2008 trade for Jason Hart to play out his last season. Knight left Stanford as its all-time leader in assists and steals, went 16th to Cleveland in 1997, finished second in the league in steals as a rookie and made the All-Rookie First Team, averaging 6.1 assists for his career.

The microphone came next. In 2010 he joined the Memphis Grizzlies broadcast team as a color commentator, a chair he still held as of 2024. He and his wife Deena have two daughters, Brenna and Kayla, and a son, Donevin.

HOW HE CAME & WENTThe Clippers traded him to Utah for Jason Hart on July 23, 2008. Knight gave the club one season. His contract expired and Utah kept Ronnie Price and drafted Eric Maynor instead.
