Brett Vroman

A 7-footer who played at both UCLA and UNLV, Vroman was a fourth-round pick of Philadelphia in 1978 but never made the Sixers. His entire NBA record is 11 games for the Jazz in 1980–813.1 points and 2.3 rebounds a night — before he took his game to Europe for 12 seasons, most of them in Italy.

Basketball ran in the family. His son Jackson Vroman, drafted by Chicago in 2004, played two NBA seasons with the Suns and the Hornets franchise before his death at a young age.

HOW HE CAME & WENTHe signed with Utah as a free agent on July 27, 1980 and made his NBA debut that October.

Why this player is hard to find
A seven-footer out of UNLV. A TCMA CBA card is in the archive unsigned, and no signed example has ever appeared.
Already in the archive — but unsigned 1980-81 TCMA CBA Continental basketball card singles. This card is on the shelf; the signature is the missing half. That is why Brett Vroman still counts as an open position.
