Andre Wakefield

Out of Chicago's Crane High School, Wakefield played at the College of Southern Idaho and Loyola University Chicago before Phoenix picked him in the fifth round of the 1978 draft. His NBA stay ran two seasons, 1978 to 1980, as a reserve point guard for Detroit, Chicago and the Jazz, averaging 2.3 points a game.

When the playing stopped, he went back to Loyola and joined the bench as an assistant coach.

HOW HE CAME & WENTA fifth-round pick of Phoenix in 1978, he reached the Jazz for 1979-80 — the last of his two NBA seasons.

Why this player is hard to find
Sixty-two NBA games across the franchise's move west. A TCMA CBA card is on the shelf unsigned, and no certified autograph card of him has ever been made.
Already in the archive — but unsigned 1980-81 TCMA CBA. This card is on the shelf; the signature is the missing half. That is why Andre Wakefield still counts as an open position.
