In Moca, Dominican Republic, Garcia played baseball until fear of fast pitches pushed him toward basketball at age 11. He reached the SEC through Mississippi State and Texas A&M, where coach Buzz Williams dubbed him the Dominican Dennis Rodman and he set the school single-season rebounding record. Utah gave him a 10-day contract in March 2026, and he grabbed 11 rebounds in his first NBA start.
His pro path ran through home first, with Rookie of the Year honors for the Marineros de Puerto Plata in 2025, then the Mexico City Capitanes of the G League. He signed with Río Breogán in Spain in July 2026.
HOW HE CAME & WENTThe Jazz signed him to a 10-day contract on March 11, 2026. Five NBA games later he was gone, signing with Rio Breogan in Spain that July.
