A professional at 15 with hometown Cherkaski Mavpy, Mykhailiuk played for Ukraine at the 2014 FIBA World Cup before he ever enrolled at Kansas, where he set a school record with 115 three-pointers as a senior. Drafted 47th in 2018, he traveled through seven teams and won a ring with the 2024 Celtics, only the second Ukrainian to play in an NBA Finals. Utah signed him to a four-year deal in August 2024, and he hit a career-high 28 points in November 2025.
He comes from a household of educators in Cherkasy. His mother teaches high school biology, and his father is a college history professor.
HOW HE CAME & WENTHe signed a four-year, $15 million deal on August 13, 2024 with only the first season guaranteed. Utah guaranteed the second on June 30, 2025, and after he started 41 of 50 games in 2025-26 the club guaranteed the next year as well.
