Baltimore's Edmondson-Westside High won its first city Division I title behind him, and his college path ran from a 36–0 national junior college championship at South Plains through North Carolina Central and Colorado State. The NBA came the long way around: after winning the 2018 EuroCup with Turkey's Darüşşafaka, Kidd signed with Utah in July 2019 and played four games before being waived in November.

The suitcase stayed packed — Melbourne United in Australia, Ormanspor in Turkey, Hapoel Jerusalem, Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia, three seasons in Japan, then Taiwan's Taipei Taishin Mars and China's Changsha Yongsheng of the NBL.

HOW HE CAME & WENTHe joined the Jazz out of Europe and was waived on November 21, 2019.
