A two-time Tennessee Mr. Basketball at Memphis-area Briarcrest Christian, Chandler was a McDonald's All-American and five-star point guard who spent one season at Tennessee, making second-team All-SEC before going 38th in the 2022 draft. His rookie deal with Memphis set a record for guaranteed money for an American-born second-round pick.
The NBA road turned bumpy — waived by the Grizzlies, then G League seasons with Long Island and Raptors 905 — until the Jazz signed him to back-to-back 10-day contracts in the spring of 2026. He answered with a career-high 31 points, seven rebounds and eight assists against New Orleans. He won U19 World Cup gold with Team USA in 2021.
