One collector is trying to find a single signature from every man who ever played for the Jazz — all 370 of them, from the 1974 New Orleans team to today. For many of them, this page is the only one on the internet. Here is Ken Boyd: what he did on the floor, a few things most people never knew, and every card that carries his name. If you own something he signed — or you know who might — there is a note at the foot of this page.
Boyd was an all-around athlete at Frederick High in Maryland — he set a Maryland Class A high jump record of 6 feet 7 inches in 1969 — before starring at Boston University, where he made first-team all-Yankee Conference in 1974. The New Orleans Jazz took him in the ninth round of that year's draft, and he played six games for the team in 1974-75. In the Eastern League in 1977-78 he poured in 31.1 points a game for the Quincy Chiefs.
Boston University inducted him into its Athletics Hall of Fame in 1984. Boyd died on September 18, 2025, at 73.

- Six games for the inaugural New Orleans Jazz before being waived in November 1974. No trading card of him was ever printed — only a single photograph is known. He died in September 2025, closing the set of anything he signed.
