East Oakland made him — his number 95 honors his boyhood home on 95th Avenue. Son of an African-American father and a Mexican-American mother whose own father immigrated from Michoacan, Toscano-Anderson played four years at Marquette, went undrafted, and fought his way to an NBA championship with the 2022 Golden State Warriors. His Jazz stint came in 2022-23.
He grew up speaking Spanish and celebrating both Mexican and American holidays, an identity he carried through later stops with the Lakers, Jazz and Kings. He now plays for Pallacanestro Trieste in Italy's top league.
HOW HE CAME & WENTHe came to Utah on February 9, 2023 in the three-team, eight-player Russell Westbrook blockbuster, and played 22 games for the club.
