John Lucas III

Basketball royalty by birth — his father, John Lucas II, played and coached in the NBA — Lucas made his own name at Oklahoma State, where his winning shot against Saint Joseph's sent the Cowboys to the 2004 Final Four. Undrafted, he pieced together a career across the Rockets, Bulls and Raptors plus stops in Italy, Spain and China, once scoring 25 points to lead a shorthanded Chicago team past Washington. He signed with the Jazz in July 2013 and gave Utah one season.

The game stayed the family business. His brother Jai is head coach at the University of Miami, and Lucas moved to the bench himself, working today as a player development coach for the WNBA's Las Vegas Aces.
