Joe Johnson

"Iso Joe" came to Utah in 2016 with seven All-Star selections and one of the surest one-on-one games of his generation. The Arkansas Razorback went 10th to Boston in 2001 and made his name in Atlanta, where he earned the nickname for his isolation play and led the Hawks back to the playoffs after a nine-year drought. He retired among just 52 NBA players with 20,000 points.

A Boys and Girls Club kid from Little Rock Central High — alma mater of Brooks Robinson and Bill Dickey — Johnson was Arkansas Mr. Basketball as a state champion senior. When he stepped away, he was the last active NBA player to have shared a floor with Michael Jordan.

HOW HE CAME & WENTHe signed a two-year, $22 million contract on July 8, 2016 and beat the Clippers with a buzzer-beater in Game 1 of the 2017 playoffs. Out of the rotation a year later, his expiring contract went to Sacramento in the Jae Crowder trade.

  • His last Jazz season brought career lows across the board — 7.3 points in 22 minutes a night and 26.7 percent from three.
