Bradley University retired his No. 11, an honor granted to only seven Braves, before the 76ers drafted Anderson 36th overall in 1982. The 6-foot-8 forward played 13 games for Philadelphia, then spent the rest of his three NBA seasons, from December 1982 to 1985, with the Utah Jazz.

Europe gave him a longer stage: eleven years, with stops in Spain and Greece, a European Cup title with Aris in 1993, and eight seasons in Italy, most of them in Florence, where he became a star for the whole city. He settled in Bristol, Wisconsin.

HOW HE CAME & WENTPhiladelphia drafted him 36th overall in 1982 and used him in 13 games before letting him go. Utah signed him as a free agent on December 23, 1982, and waived him on October 7, 1985.
