Utah drafted him 55th in 2010 out of Western Kentucky, where he remains the all-time blocks leader, and for five seasons Evans was the Jazz's resident highlight reel. He won the 2012 NBA Slam Dunk Contest by throwing down two basketballs in one leap over teammate Gordon Hayward, and a year later jumped over a painting of himself dunking — a canvas he painted himself.
The dunker became a globetrotter: Dallas and Atlanta in the NBA, then Khimki in Russia, Darüşşafaka in Turkey, Olimpia Milano, Panathinaikos, Paris Basketball and Manama of Bahrain, where he won the inaugural West Asia Super League title in 2023. He plays on for Mykonos in Greece.
HOW HE CAME & WENTUtah took him with the 55th and last pick of the 2010 draft and kept him five seasons, dunk-contest title and all. He fell out of the rotation in 2014-15 and signed with Dallas when his contract expired.
