Eric Maynor

VCU had never produced a first-round pick until the Jazz took Eric Maynor 20th in 2009 — fitting, since he had made the Rams famous with a game-winner over Duke in the 2007 NCAA tournament and left as the school's all-time leading scorer. His Utah stay lasted barely half a season: that December the Jazz traded him to Oklahoma City largely to escape the luxury tax, a move GM Kevin O'Connor called a difficult decision.

Basketball was the family trade — his father George played at East Carolina and was drafted by the Bulls in 1979. Maynor now works the sidelines himself, as an assistant coach with the Thunder.

HOW HE CAME & WENTUtah drafted him 20th overall in 2009 and traded him with Matt Harpring to Oklahoma City that December, half a season later.
