Son of longtime NBA big man Terry Davis, Ed Davis won a national title at North Carolina in 2009, scoring 11 points off the bench in the championship game, then went 13th to Toronto in the 2010 draft. Across 12 NBA seasons he earned his keep on the glass for eight teams. Utah signed him in July 2019, but a fractured left fibula that November marred his lone Jazz season.
Davis grew up in Virginia, leading Benedictine High in Richmond to two state championships and winning Mr. Basketball of Virginia in 2008. After closing stops in Minnesota and Cleveland, he finished his playing days with a short 2023 run for Mets de Guaynabo in Puerto Rico.
HOW HE CAME & WENTHe signed with Utah for the 2019-20 season, a rebounding specialist near the end of the road.
