The fourth pick of the 1994 draft after a unanimous Big East Player of the Year season at UConn, Donyell Marshall logged fifteen NBA years across eight teams. Utah landed him in a 2000 four-team trade, and he spent two seasons scoring in double figures in the frontcourt beside Karl Malone and John Stockton before signing with Chicago. In 2005 he tied Kobe Bryant's NBA record with 12 three-pointers in a single game for Toronto.
Coaching became the second act: assistant stops from George Washington to Buffalo, five years as head coach at Central Connecticut State, then the G League's Greensboro Swarm. His great uncle is football Hall of Famer Lenny Moore.
HOW HE CAME & WENTGolden State moved him to Utah in the first four-team trade in NBA history in August 2000. Two years later contract talks collapsed over a wide gap on years and money, and he signed with Chicago in August 2002.
