For many of them, this page is the only one on the internet. Here is Tim Legler: what he did on the floor, a few things most people never knew, and every card that carries his name. An Academic All-American at La Salle, Legler went undrafted in 1988 and spent years proving himself in the CBA, winning a championship and a scoring title with the Omaha Racers between short NBA stints — including one with the Jazz in 1992-93. Washington finally gave him a real role, and in 1995-96 he won the All-Star Weekend Three-Point Shootout with a record 65-point aggregate while leading the NBA in three-point percentage. His career 43.1 percent from deep ranks eighth all time.
A recurring knee problem ended his playing days in 1999. Legler joined ESPN in 2000 and has been a basketball analyst ever since, picking up a Wharton MBA along the way in 2002.
HOW HE CAME & WENTThe Jazz signed him as a free agent on September 28, 1992 and waived him on November 25, years before he became one of the league's best shooters in Washington.
