A 6-foot-7 power forward from Morehead State, Green spent five seasons banging the boards behind the starters in Phoenix, where his 2,186 rebounds still rank among the top 20 in Suns history. His best year came in 1972-73, when he averaged 6.7 points and 9.3 rebounds a night.
Left unprotected in the 1974 expansion draft, he became an original New Orleans Jazzman, though the stay lasted only 15 games before he was waived. He finished his career with 51 games for the ABA's Virginia Squires in 1974-75.
