Ekpe Udoh

With a 7-foot-4 wingspan and a shot-blocker's timing, Ekpe Udoh went sixth overall to Golden State in 2010 after leading the Big 12 in blocks at Baylor. When the NBA cooled on him, he conquered Europe instead — a EuroLeague championship with Fenerbahçe in 2017, earning Final Four MVP honors — and Utah brought him back on a two-year deal that summer.

Born in Oklahoma to Nigerian roots, Udoh went on to represent Nigeria at the 2019 World Cup and the Tokyo Olympics. Since 2023 he has been an assistant coach with the Atlanta Hawks under Quin Snyder.

HOW HE CAME & WENTHe left Fenerbahce as the 2017 EuroLeague Final Four MVP and signed a two-year, $6.5 million deal with Utah on July 21, 2017. The contract ran out after two seasons of deep-bench minutes and he moved to the Beijing Ducks.
