Wake Forest from 1988 to 1992, then the 45th pick by Seattle. King's fullest season came with expansion Vancouver in 1995–96 — 80 games, 66 starts, 7.9 points, and a tip-in at the buzzer to win the Grizzlies' home opener in overtime.
His NBA finale was quiet and brief: eight games for the Jazz during the lockout-shortened 1999 season, after which he took his career to Europe. He was born in Newton Grove, North Carolina, where he starred at Hobbton High.
HOW HE CAME & WENTUtah signed him to a non-guaranteed contract on January 22, 1999 and waived him on March 2.
